The PFVCC

Halfway home with week 9 now behind us and it’s been a bloodied battle to this point. We begin with MS, who hasn’t had his best through the first half but is counting on stellar weeks, like the 11 win one he just had, to pull himself back into the conversation. Well done on a great week, MS! Right behind him were LF, CM and BS who were able to pick themselves 10 wins a piece to finish out the double digit win club and separate themselves from the rest of the group. CM and BS keep the pace with LF this week, all the while LF gives himself a little more breathing room at the top of the standings. Finally MM, NF, KS and SS fly under the radar with 9 wins each which isn’t anything to scoff at, but they would be the first to tell you it wasn’t their best. They await the opportune moment as the seasoned and wise frequently do.

DR and DP once again headline our loner news, but unfortunately for them it wasn’t a very positive column. DP put faith into CAR but they couldn’t answer the call as they fell to CIN. DR saw DP’s one loner and said “hold my beer” and doubled down. He walked away beer-less and winless as his picks of WAS and TEN both lost heartbreakers in the final minutes. We feel for the both of you!!

So, we have seen the first 9 come and go and the chips have fallen where they have. With the second half of the season almost guaranteed to be more difficult than the first and a MIP that has yet to impose it’s will, it goes without saying (but I will say it anyway)… don’t get too comfortable. Week 10 and beyond awaits judgement. Best of luck to you my friends!

Your President,

LF
