Since 1981 – Where Legends Compete

KB Rests Assured With The Visitors; Leads All Pickers With 11 Wins

DP Follows With 10 While The Rest Discuss Their Struggles In Week 3

Effective date: 2026-09-29

3 weeks in and it has most members whispering throughout the gentleman’s club whether or not we have had a MIP sighting. Small clusters of two to three litter the lounge, recapping their difficult weeks, discussing what led to their undoing and how they “would’ve, could’ve and should’ve” this pick and that pick. Many could be heard mentioning, “this is far too early for the Midseason Indifference Phenomenon, isn’t it?” President LF was mingling from group to group hearing this and decided to gather the discouraged members and remind everyone that history tells us that it always strikes when we least expect it and that it usually goes as quick as it comes.

KS scoffed under his breath from the back of the group, which no one objected to since he still held the top spot despite logging 8 wins himself. The group carried on discussing the years prior, trying to recount how they maneuvered difficult weeks when CM cut in and said, “wait, where’s KB and DP?” Everyone looked around until they noticed the two sitting at a dimly lit red leather booth in the far-off corner of the room. KB was slouched over, seemingly taking a nap, while DP was reading “How to Become a Repeat Champion: A Dodgers Story.”

DP felt the eyes of everyone and, without looking up from his read, shrugged and said, “he’s been like that for a while.” No one responded, as they clearly weren’t dealing with the Sunday Scaries after tallying 11 and 10 wins, respectively. The evening quickly tapered off as members wanted to turn in and start prepping for the next slate of games quickly approaching. Handshakes were had amongst many, all except for PM, who opted for the Irish goodbye. A fitting close to Week 3, and with membership combining for a sub-50 winning percentage, one can only assume there were a lot of quiet drives home…

All MIP discussions aside, one area that couldn’t be deterred was our loner pick group! We had two members with loners on display, and both reaped the rewards of putting themselves out there in the cold on their own. DP went with LAS over NO, and he looks and feels just as good as the 3-0 Raiders in this young season. BS looked just as sharp as he went against the field, selecting CHI over PHI, and lucky for him, a 38-year-old 3rd-string QB felt just as confident in the upset. Phenomenal picking by you two! *Enter Golf Clap here*

We have seen 3 weeks of football and the season is quickly beginning to take shape. With the storylines building, one that is sure to capture membership’s attention is whether or not we will see a bounce back in Week 4. I guess we will just have to wait and see….

Your President,

LF
