The PFVCC

So, at the risk of seeming boorish, I wonder if the boys in research have the capacity to report if any player has gained 21 cumulative games on the field in one week?

BD should pick up win #1500 today.

SR going for it this week. Goo's a plenty! Could be significant movement this week. Let's watch and see!

HELLO, HELlo, Hellooo. Anyone in HERE HERe, HEre, Here. ECHO, ECHo, ECho, Echo.

MS, I should not be more than a few minutes. If you'd allow me to collect my things I'll be gone.

Thank you sir. I hope to stay awhile

Hey, MS, let me move a few things around. Welcome to the penthouse!

Das a lotta goo

NOTICE: System maintenance scheduled for this weekend has been canceled. We were able to fix the Loner Pick count issues effecting the "Loner Pick" and "Week At A Glance" without downtime. If you see any issues, please report them as soon as possible
- The Boys In I/T

NOTICE: There will be a scheduled system outage on Saturday afternoon / evening for maintenance. I will let you know at least one hour in advance of the system being unavailable via this message board. I will also advise when it is complete.

Hi All - Just an FYI - There is a little bug regarding loner picks. Both the "Week at a Glance" and "Loner Picks" Screens are assigning Loners incorrectly. Please rely on the "Group Picks" Report for now. More to come.

Love the new LIFETIME WINNING % screen. Boy's in IT had done it again!

Oops his enter too soon. It will be interesting to see when the net w/l with VTP turns out to be.

VTP took its toll this week.

My first pick is in for the year. Good luck to everyone. I'm shooting for #9 championship!

Thank you JP.

1/3 This message was intended to be posted on the PFVCC main site. Due to a technical issue, I decided to send it as an email instead. To immortalize it within the PFVCC, it was decided it should be posted on the message board as well. Remembering John Dickason By now, I’m sure all of you know that our very own John Dickason, better known as JD within the PFVCC, passed away on Tuesday, February 2. Our deepest condolences go out to John’s wife, Bobbi (BD), his children, and grandchildren, including JR and MS, who are members of our wonderful league. The Dickason family holds a very special place within the ranks of PFVCC. John had a great appreciation for sports, had wonderful stories that were always followed by laughter, and was a devoted family man. He will be very missed.

2/3 Now, let’s take a minute to appreciate the accomplishments of JD within the PFVCC. Our boys in record keeping have been hard a work pulling some numbers, and they are nothing short of impressive. JD played in 22 seasons, from 1994-2015. In those seasons, JD played in 5,512 games, and picked 3,564 winners. Now, if we take into account the 7 ties that he had throughout the years, JD had a staggering 64.69 winning percentage. That sounds incredibly impressive—because it is—and there is more. If we look at historical data, JD has the second highest winning percentage in PFVCC history (750 game minimum), number one being GF at 65.04%. A very narrow margin. What’s more, JD has the highest winning percentage in PFVCC history with a minimum of 1000 games played. It would be accurate to say that JD is the best picking PFVCC player in our storied 35 years history.

3/3 Additionally, JD hoisted the Winner’s Trophy twice, which is also very impressive. Again, what makes it more impressive is that he did it in back-to-back seasons (2004 - 2005). JD also came in second place four times, and each time he was runner up, it was by a margin of 1 or 2 games. JD was a very active participant on the message boards and was always very eager to engage in and incite the camaraderie (read: smack talk) for which the PFVCC Message Boards are famous. JD enjoyed jawing with the fellas, and was eager to get it started. We will all sincerely miss that. I personally will miss JD’s recap emails that became custom between the two of us, in which he would send me some highlights from the week. Truth be told, much fodder for my recaps came from JD’s emails, and, he was always eager to share his pride in how well his bride was doing. The PFVCC thanks you for your excellent years with us, and for your love of football, JD You will be missed and we are comforted knowing that you are resting with God now. Warmly, JP

It is already January 7, but life here has been too hectic to respond. I wanted to congratulate DP and SS, the winners for 2015. Well done. It was great fun along the way. Looking forward to next year.

Way to go, DP. Right down to the wire like it should be!

Thanks SS, Mr. President and all those responsible for the PFVCC. Your staff does an amazing job providing such an exciting, competitive experience. I have sincerely enjoyed the NFL the last 4 years like never before. I'm extremely honored to now have my name listed with 34 years of great Champions. My wife and I look forward to attending our 2nd Pig Party this summer, hoisting the trophy and celebrating with the entire PFVCC family. Plus, one more opportunity to spend time with the grandsons.

Fixed it.

Jp, Minnisota should be posted as the winner. Thanks for a fine year mr. President.
