The PFVCC

As the sun begins to set on this season, membership knows it’s now or never to make a move to catch the best view. DJ and BS didn’t waste any time as their 11 wins afforded them first dibs on their lawn chairs. They both ran out to the membership lawn and snagged two front row seats as they rehashed their wins one by one. Shortly after they got settled a group of 7 members came rolling in. LF and SS were a stride ahead while KS, CM, PM (great loner win), NF and KB tailed right behind to round out the 10 win crowd. They made their way over to the second row of seats and eventually sat down. Whispers began to fill the air as if they were 8th graders in a movie theater full of their friends. Humble jabs were being thrown around, discussing positioning and strategy. BS and DJ turned around and one said “feels good to have the best seats in the house” to which SS responded “thanks for keeping mine warm”. LF’s eyes swung sharply to SS, and he quickly checked the standings on his phone to make sure HE was still in the lead. He was, but then he remembered that SS is fresh off his two perfect weeks so he decided to let him enjoy his moment. Before the banter escalated two more members showed up. MM and MS hurried over but unfortunately for them only a few seats near the back of the lawn were left. They rolled their eyes and made their way to their seats. Now one seat remained. Members were looking around and before anyone could say, there came DP. Looking sleep deprived, with a wrinkled pick sheet in hand and his head down he said “It’s not over you imbeciles”.
