The PFVCC

Last week the question was posed, which members will rise to the occasion and which will fall? And in week 12 that question was answered by BS and SS. Both were determined to make a stand as they understand the magnitude of the moment, and also want to enjoy their Turkey Day with their heads held high. The two Vets put it all out there as they logged 10 wins a piece to lead the group and pull within two of LF who sits atop the hill watering his front yard. With LF in sight, BS and SS hope that weeds begin to litter his yard, taking his focus away from the pick board and setting up the opportunity for them to serve him an eviction notice. With one goal in mind they can rest easy knowing they took care of their business in week 12. LF, MM, DP, MS and KB were good enough to bring in 9 wins of their own to bring a steady calm to their week ahead. Although they didn’t lead the week, they know that steadiness can be counted on as they look to continue that into the stretch drive.

For the first time all season not a single loner was taken in week 12. Perhaps it was the breather everyone needed, but I fully expect the red writing to make a return sooner rather than later.

The race to crown a champion continues on, and as we look ahead to next week it’s important to remember what means the most to us. Family, friends, amazing food, and the ability to partake in such a great football tradition! Thank you to all of you and hope you enjoy the holiday with those that mean the most to you! For now we cheers, but don’t let the tryptophan get to you and be mistaken for a lack of competitive fire! Who will have the most to be thankful for next week? We will see…
