The PFVCC

With week 1 now behind us and our competitive juices flowing I think we all can agree that its good to be back. For the first time in 18 months the crowds were rocking and the atmosphere finally felt “normal”. But even with the crowds and the concessions fueling them, eight underdogs won their matchups this weekend, including five on the road which is the most in an opening week in over 35 years. Naturally, membership followed the trend and took some humble pie to open the week but there was one outlier…SR! Week 1 standout SR put on a show and was able to maneuver a tough week and pick his way to 12 winners to take the top spot. Very well played! A few clicks behind were CM, DR and MS who pulled in 9 wins to start their year. Not great, BUT better than the rest, which is the name of the game. A tip of the cap to the top 4 after 1.

Loner news started with a bang as 7 of the 16 games were picked for loners among 3 players. MS lost a well fought game as CLE couldn’t knock off KC. SR won his pick of ARZ over TEN to round out his great week. And the loner king himself, NF went 3/5 on his picks to put a cap on our loner segment.

Finally, Congrats are in order for MM who joins elite company becoming the 6th member of the 4,000 win club. Here’s to 4,000 more MM!

What a start to the season!! Can’t wait to see what the rest has in store…

Your President,
